Building brand awareness and engagement
Whisker is an e-commerce company on a mission to transform the future of pet care. Most famous for the Litter-Robot, their high-tech, beautifully functional products and accessories help make life with your pet endlessly better.
As Senior UX Writer, I split my time between the marketing and mobile app teams to lead brand messaging and content marketing ahead of the launch of our newest robot: Litter-Robot 4.
This wasnโt just your ordinary litter boxโand the marketing had to prove it. We focused messaging on convenience (never scoop cat poop again), health benefits (track kittyโs usage and behaviors), and tied it all together with the next-level tech that set it above the rest (laser detection, weight sensors, and real-time notifications).
I was the go-to writer for all promotional landing pages, app screens, email communication, paid advertisements, getting started videos, and TV spots. Pretty much everything a customer could encounter before, during, and after they purchased Litter-Robot 4. Even the box it came in!
As a result, I got to use all of my favorite skills:
-Scriptwriting and narrative storytelling
-End-to-end UX strategy
-Creative copywriting and content marketing
-Developing voice and tone guidelines
-Being a consistency queen (sorry, not sorry)
Litter-Robot 4 ended up being Whiskerโs most successful product launch to date, with over 1 million cumulative robots sold.
What I loved: Being invited on set to help shoot our Litter-Robot 4 commercials. Lots of on-the-spot scriptwriting, narrative direction, and plenty of cat actors to pet in my downtime.
